Vote a Revolution!

Did you know that in many U.S. elections more eligible voters fail to vote than actually elect a candidate?  The Apathy Vote is the most common vote in America.

The Apathy Voter can name many reasons for their position.  My vote does not make a difference, there is no candidate worth voting for or I simply don’t care are just a few.  Underlying all of these reasons is the theme that the system does not work the way it should, it does not serve the people, the Citizens who elect the very representatives responsible for the system.

Why does the system fail to work for the people?

Over the years we have been duped into believing there are only two choices in each election, Democrat or Republican.  This has allowed each party to become less and less accountable to the voters.  Both parties know that if they don’t have control now, they only have to wait for the party in control to make a mistake or hold office during difficult times and they will be in control again.  This has allowed each to simply bide their time and push through legislation that benefits the special interests that continue to support them year in and year out.

What can we do about it?

Luckily, there is a simple solution.  Democracy is the government of the peaceful revolution.  We can overthrow the current regime in any election.  The simple solution is to vote and vote for something different.

ApathyVote.org is a small voice calling for the voters in America to step up and make a difference.  This website is our first cry into the vast indifference that has become the American political landscape and we hope to find kindred spirits to help spread the word.
